“This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine!” This is one of my favorite childhood songs and I use it as a reminder of the impact I can make on anyone at any moment! I have always had passion for nonprofits and management. Something about this environment makes me feel empowered to shine, expand and be useful. I enjoy working with organizations to enhance their leadership, productivity and, ultimately, help with their mission.
I first fell in love with associations in college, where I was involved in a number of groups, and always willing to volunteer for a philanthropy. If someone needed help, I was there to have your back! I loved joining together as a team, working towards goals and completing a mission. I gained numerous opportunities at Murray State University in Murray, KY where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and Master’s Degree in Human Development & Leadership with emphasis in Nonprofit Management. I became a Certified Nonprofit Professional in 2014. Volunteerism has always been engrained in me and a passion to help others.
XMI is a company who provides cost effective solutions and consistent, high quality services to our clients- which was a perfect match for me. I enjoy the development, promotion, and enhancement of associations. I take pride in working with the Board, volunteers, and a variety of members in our groups. I have strong organizational and communication skills and love being challenged every day. My goal is to be an asset to each organization by increasing volunteer and membership involvement. I love working with people who are passionate about their work and cause.
I moved to Nashville, TN in 2013 with hopes to get more opportunities with nonprofits and associations on a larger scale. From there I have been involved with Girls Scouts of America, The Nonprofit Leadership Alliance, Junior League of Nashville and the Tennessee Society of Association Executives (TNSAE). I have been with XMI since 2015 and couldn’t find a better blend of teamwork and collaboration.
