I’m passionate about developing simple solutions for complex challenges and enabling lean teams to operate at a very high level. I’ve been fortunate throughout my career to have been thrust into challenging roles which forced me to learn, sometimes the hard way, what works and what doesn’t. At XMI I use these lessons, and the skills that I’ve developed as a result, to guide growing companies on their unique path to success.
I began my career in public accounting, performing audits for mid-size private equity owned companies. After deciding that busy season and extensive travel wasn’t conducive to my long-term personal and professional goals, I left public accounting and moved into industry, first with a global industrial manufacturer then most recently with an international healthcare staffing and outsourcing firm.
My role at XMI is a blend of several diverse but interconnected duties. Primarily, I lead the Financial Reporting services group, enabling our team to operate efficiently and effectively to provide best in class service to our clients. Additionally, I manage the internal finance needs of the consolidated XMI business, and lastly, I provide operational and strategic support to XMI and its associated investment funds for merger and acquisition activity.
My wife Ginny is a Nashville native and we’ve been blessed with three children. I’m an avid golfer and a barbecue enthusiast; can’t think of anything better than an evening on the deck with my wife, watching the kids play in the yard, and a nice hunk of meat cooking on the Big Green Egg.
I earned my MBA from the University of Kentucky and an undergraduate degree of Accounting from Morehead State University. I hold an active CPA license and maintain membership in both the AICPA and TSCPA. I’m also actively involved in Leadership Health Care and support several other initiatives throughout the community.
