I started officially working in IT as a career about 15 years ago for Kroger’s Regional Accounting Services Center. Since then I have enjoyed the challenges and the benefits that working in IT offer. It is a unique field because you end up getting to know everyone in the company, usually as you are helping to fix some issue on their computer. I have always enjoyed working with different Operating Systems, and I have worked on PC’s, Mac’s, and Linux machines throughout my career. Along the way I have earned several certifications and I find that they help me bridge the gap so I can explain what I know to everyone, whether you’re a computer geek like me or not.
No two days are the same in this field of work. You never know exactly what to expect on a given day – you can go into the day with a general plan, but you have to be prepared for whatever the day brings. That keeps me on my toes and keeps my brain working, learning new things, and new ways to do things. I enjoy the challenges that IT work provides.
I joined the US Army when I graduated High School and served three years as an Army Ranger in C Company, 2nd Batallion 75th Ranger Regiment. I also earned Jump Wings and was Airborne qualified. My wife and I have two sons. I enjoy playing, coaching, and watching Soccer. I also love backcountry camping and hiking.
I have over 10 years experience in Information Technology with certifications: A+, N+, MCP, MCSA, MCSE.
