Since starting at XMI in February of 2016 my role has involved wearing two distinctly different, but related hats within the company. On one hand I manage the accounting team that handles the financials for all of our accounting services clients. On the other hand I am responsible for the corporate finance and strategy activities for XMI and its associated investment funds. As a result, I am often asked to manage a wide range of responsibilities on a daily basis. It’s not uncommon for my day to involve simultaneously multi-tasking between writing a presentation regarding a prospective equity investment while at the same time working with the accounting team to determine the appropriate adjusting journal entry needed to close a client’s financials for the month.
Outside of work my wife and I have the pleasure of being a father of three wonderful kids. Beyond work and family I still finding time to squeeze in being the President of my neighborhood’s HOA, teach religious education at our church each Sunday, and work in the garden whenever the weather permits!
My ability to handle a wide range of challenges is enabled by my diverse work experience and education. To go along with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Harvard and an MBA from the University of Chicago, I have over 20 years of experience in corporate finance, strategy, and accounting in a variety of different industries, ranging from most recently as the Controller at the Catholic Diocese of Nashville as well as other various finance and strategy positions within United Airlines, Bowe Bell + Howell, and A.T. Kearney consulting.
