Growing in my career, I have gone from being a highly tasked-focused planner and organizer to loving the opportunities I now have to engage businesses in advancing principle-centered cultures, developing people, training leaders and engaging their workforce to improve performance and results. This all happened when I started a human resource consulting business in 1989 and all of a sudden realized I was an entrepreneur.
Joining XMI in 2007 when they acquired my business, provided me even greater opportunity to multiply the types of resources that I could provide businesses. As a mentor, coach and consultant to a broad range of professionals in diverse organizations, I have had a chance to see such tremendous success that business leaders and their organizations have achieved.
At XMI, I lead both the human resource outsourcing team of professionals that provide payroll, compliance, employee benefits, human resource consulting, employee relations and tax compliance, and the association, executive management and meetings business units.
One of the most impactful and dynamic tools I use is the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument™ (HBDI™) and the Whole Brain® Thinking Model. I have worked with thousands of people and hundreds of teams to help them understand their uniqueness and diversity of thinking and then how to integrate that understanding to improve communication, collaboration, decision making and develop better interactions.
My wife of 43 years, Sue and I especially enjoy time with our family, 3 children, their spouses and our 7 grandkids. We are active in our church and volunteer with an international ministry headquartered in Nashville. I love to cook, so if I had a second career it would be as a Chef. My wife just wishes I would do that more now at home.
